* Aladdin was the son of a poor tailor, and he played with idle boys like himself

2. Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp 2
* told his mother what had passed
* he said he'd sell the lamp, but it was dirty so they cleaned it
* genie returned with stuff to eat
* sold the plates, but kept the genie and lamp
3. Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp 3
* Sultan came to wish his daughter good morning
* the princess sighed, and said the bed had been carried into a strange house
* the exact same thing happened the next night
* Aladdin sent his mother to remind the Sultan of his promise
* entered the palace and kneeled before the Sultan
* Aladdin said he'd build a palace fit for the princess
* the palace was finished by the next day, and the genie carried out his duties faithfully
4. Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp 4
* in Africa, the magician remembered Aladdin and discovered he was not trapped in the cave but prospering
* he became mad with rage and wanted to plunge Aladdin into poverty
* the princess sent a slave to find out what the noise was about
* the palace was gone, because the princess sold the old lamp
* the executioner made Aladdin kneel down and raised his scimitar to strike
* Aladdin begged for forty days in which to find her
* the genie appeared and asked him to save him
5. Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp 5
* the princess rose early, and treated the magician harshly
* she admits to Aladdin she is the cause of their sorrow
* Aladdin arranged a plan for the princess to seduce the magician to get the lamp back
6. Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp 6
* the plan worked, and the magician was dead
* Aladdin brought the Sultan's daughter back
* the African magician had a younger brother who traveled to avenge his brother's death
* the false Fatima deceived the princess
* Aladdin discovered the treachery and they lived in peace
